Tutorial: RAW - right angle weave tecnique

From: http://www.beadjewelrymaking.com/

Notes before you start: You experiment with different types of beads like seed beads, bugle etc.  The pictorials are illustrated with spaces between beads for a clearer direction, in the actual beading, there should be no spaces.  You can use a string and needle or Nylon fishing line (0.25mm) without the needle.

Two different stringing techniques for flat right angle weave are featured:

Flat Right Angle Weave using single thread stringing method

Step 1:String 4 beads and tie them into a ring, leaving one end longer for continued beading.

Continue to add 3 (red color) beads and loop back through the beads and exit at the bead pointing out to your right as shown, continue adding 3 beads each time and loop the same way until you have reached the length you want.

Step 2:Second Row: add 3 beads and string the line through the bottom bead of the first row and back through a left bead of the newly added row.

Continue to add 2 beads at a time and loop back through the beads and exit at the bead pointing out to your left as shown, continue adding 2 beads each time and loop the same way until you reach the end of the row.

Repeat this step for every row until you get the length you wanted.
Flat Right Angle Weave using double thread stringing method
Step 1:String 4 beads, making sure both ends of the line is of the same length, cross both lines at the last bead added.
Continue by adding 1 bead on each end of the string,  then adding a third bead and cross both lines through this third bead.
Continue this until you reached the second last bead ring, you add 3 beads on one line and cross the other line through the last added bead so that both line exit from the bottom bead to prepare beading of row 2.

Start row 2 by adding 3 beads on one line (red line) and cross the other line (black line) through the last bead added.

Step 2:Continue beading row 2 by adding 2 beads at a time through the line pointing down and crossing the other line through the last added bead.  Repeat this until you reached the end of the row, remember to end each row like the step above - crossing both lines through the bottom bead.

Notes before you start: You experiment with different types of beads like seed beads, bugle etc.  The pictorials are illustrated with spaces between beads for a clearer direction, in the actual beading, there should be no spaces.  You can use a string and needle or Nylon fishing line (0.25mm) without the needle.Note: If you are a beginner look at Flat Right Angle Weave Instruction first.

Two types of Increasing method is featured here for increasing right angle weave.

Increasing Right Angle Weave on the outside edges:

Step 1:At the end of the row which you want to increase, add 3 more beads and loop the string back through the nearest bead from the previous ring and back through the bottom bead of the new ring as shown.
Now you can start on the next row as per usual.
Step 2:When you reach the end of this row, add 3 more beads and loop the line back through the nearest bead from the previous ring and through the top bead of this new ring. (redline)
Add 2 more beads and loop the line through the nearest bead from the ring beside this new ring (red line) and loop the line back through the bottom bead of the very last row (black line)
Continue the next row or add more beads if necessary.
Increasing Right Angle Weave from within:
Step 1:At the middle of the row you want to increase on, add 3 beads instead of your normal 2 beads and carry on beading normal from next ring onwards.
Continue next row as usual, until you reach the added beads see step 2.
Step 2:You still add 2 beads like normal but notice the two bottom beads hanging from the previous row?  You have to loop two rings instead of one to form a proper increase.
Continue beading as per usual and increase whenever there's a need to using the same method.

Decreasing Right Angle Weave on the outside edges:

Start the next row that you want to decrease by stringing the line through the bottom bead of the last ring, add 3 beads and loop the line back through the bottom hanging bead from the previous row.
Continue beading as usual and remember to stop one ring before reaching the end of the row.
Decrease whenever you need to using the same method.
Decreasing Right Angle Weave from within:
When you reach the middle of the row you want to decrease, add 2 beads but string the line through 2 top beads from the above row as shown, loop the line back through the new beads and continue beading as usual.
Decrease whenever you need to using the same method.

Tubular Right Angle Weave using single thread stringing method

Step 1:String 4 beads and tie them into a ring, leaving one end longer for continued beading.

Continue to add 3 (red color) beads and loop back through the beads and exit at the bead pointing out to your right as shown, continue adding 3 beads each time and loop the same way until you have reached the length you want (measure around the object you will be beading around)

Step 2:Joining the first row: Add one bead (blue) and string the line back the nearest bead of the first bead ring, add another new bead (blue) and string the line back through the nearest bead from the last bead ring. (represented by red line)

Second Row: add 3 beads and string the line through the bottom bead of the first row and back through a left bead of the newly added row. (represented by the green and black line)

Continue to add 2 beads at a time and loop back through the beads and exit at the bead pointing out to your left as shown, continue adding 2 beads each time and loop the same way until you reach the end of the row. You can refer to
Flat Right Angle Weave Instruction step 2 if there is a problem encountered on adding new beads.

Repeat this step for every row until you get the length you wanted.
Tubular Right Angle Weave using double thread stringing method
Step 1:String 4 beads, making sure both ends of the line is of the same length, cross both lines at the last bead added.
Continue by adding 1 bead on each end of the string,  then adding a third bead and cross both lines through this third bead.
Continue this until you reached the second last ring, here's the joining part: add one bead on the line pointing upward and cross this line through the bead pointing right from the very first bead ring, add one more bead and crisscross both lines through this new added bead.
Step 2:Start row 2 by adding 3 beads on one line (red line) and cross the other line (black line) through the last bead added.

Continue beading row 2 by adding 2 beads at a time through the line pointing down and crossing the other line through the last added bead.  Repeat this until you reached the end of the row, remember to join each row like the step above - pick up one bead on the line pointing up, cross this line through the very first bead ring's right bead, add one last bead and crisscross both lines through this bead.
